Bond refund

Getting your bond refund
We want to make sure your bond refund process is as smooth as possible. Simply follow the steps below to ensure everything is in order before you depart.
1. Complete the Bond Refund form
Collect the Bond refund form from the front desk and return it to us once completed. Bond refunds are issued to Australian bank accounts only. If you haven’t already registered your bank details with the RTA, we’ll provide you with an ‘Update Your Details’ form. Simply complete the form, and we’ll scan and email it back to you for your records.
If you don’t have an Australian bank account yet, opening one is free and can be done at any branch – click here to learn more.
2. Wait for the email from the RTA
Once we’ve processed your bond online, the RTA will email you to confirm. If you completed the ‘Update your Details’ form, forward this form to the RTA to provide your bank account information. This will help ensure your bond refund is processed as quickly as possible.
3. Keep your Australian bank account open
Make sure to keep your Australian bank account open for at least four weeks after your departure to avoid delays in receiving your refund.
4. Timing for refund
Your bond refund will be processed approximately 2-4 weeks after your contract end date. To avoid delays and ensure a full refund:
- Pay any outstanding charges separately before your departure.
- Remember that unpaid charges may not only delay your refund but also negatively impact your rental record in Australia.
If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to visit the front desk – we’re here to help!
